There are four tiers: 4GB for $25, 10GB for $35, 15GB for $45, or unlimited for $40. The prices are the lowest if you pay for the year at once. Mint has an offer that drops prices to $15, $20, $25, and $30 per month under the above plans for the first three months. These prices will revert to actual rates if you choose to pay every three months, but if you settle for a year, you can keep the discounted rate. There is also a smaller discount if you commit six consecutive months. Mint does not include wireless taxes or fees in its prices.
Mint offers free week trial period your service. Download the Mint Mobile app from the website google play store or Apple App Store and try a limited version of the Mint plan for free by mailing your SIM or using an eSIM if your phone supports it.
We suggest sticking to a plan that $15/month for 4GB if you tend not to use a lot of data. Go to what $30 per month for unlimited traffic if you are talking on the phone far from Wi-Fi. Just remember that prices increase after your first three months.
Phone Compatibility: This network is powered by T-Mobile, so any T-Mobile or AT&T phone should work, as well as many new high-end universal unlock phones like iPhones, Samsung phones, and Google Pixels. Check here for compatibility.
Best for countryside
Visible was our favorite until Mint released its unlimited data plan, but it’s still good if you prefer Verizon’s cellular service, which works better in remote or rural areas. Visible claims 99 percent of the population is covered in the US. It is owned by Verizon and exclusively uses that network (which means it’s not technically an MVNO).
The basic Visible plan costs $30 per month per line, including taxes and fees. It comes with 5G and 4G LTE coverage, as well as unlimited calls, texts, and data. There is also a higher level plan: Visible+. For $45 per month per line, it adds 5G Ultra Wideband – the faster 5G service band – unlimited roaming for calls, texts, and data in Canada and Mexico (for US customers), as well as international calls and texts from the US to “thirty”. + and 200+ countries”, respectively.
Your 5G data rate is limited to 200 Mbps, which is enough for most tasks. During heavy network traffic, Visible will deprioritize its customers share Verizon’s cellular infrastructure. For the Visible+ plan, this only kicks in after using 50 GB of data. Visible will give you a gift card worth up to $200 if you bring your device, depending on the device, which is $100 less than the maximum amount offered at the end of last year. You will need to pay for the first three months of service and port your old number first.
